Ways to Support Your Local FOL
Donate Materials for the Friends Used Book Sale
Big Sky Community Library is grateful for gifts of slightly used books, DVDs, music CDs, audio books and other materials which are an important supplement to our collection. Please remember that donated materials become the property of the Big Sky Community Library. If they are not selected for the collection, they may be sold at the Friends of Big Sky Community Library book sale. A tax receipt for all donations will be provided if requested. You may drop off donations at the Circulation Desk when the Library is open.
Become a Friend of the Library
Join us as a member! (Click here for a printable application.)
Donate a Shelf Plaque
Honor a friend or family member with dedicating a shelf. Over one hundred shelves have been purchased thus far. (Click here for more details.)
Donate to the Memorial Garden
In the fall of 2010 the Steve French/Denise Tuohy Memorial Garden was completed. This outdoor seating area for the library was build to honor and remember these two local community members who were committed to Ophir School and the community of Big Sky. If you would like to donate to this fund to help with the maintenance, please click here.
Book Sales
Used book sales go on throughout the summer at the local weekly Farmer's Market in the Town Center. Our annual sale is scheduled for Saturday, July 30th from 10-4 at the Big Sky Country Fair. Volunteers are needed for hauling, setting up and sorting through the books, as well as tending the sale.
Books for Soldiers
Donate paperbacks or help package books for shipment.
Volunteer Your Time
You don't have to join FOL to volunteer to help out: we can always use help with shelving books during cummity library hours or volunteer your time or services for fundraisers. Very little training is required. Call the library at 995-4281 ext. 205 if you want to help out.
